Overview: GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking two Deployment Technicians for a short-term, on-site assignment supporting our client in McKinney, Texas. This hands-on role requires candidates to be available Monday through Friday during standard business hours and involves deploying approximately 700 new credit card machines across warehouse and store locations. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in IT deployments, asset tracking, and user support within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities: * Unbox, inventory, and prepare 700 new credit card terminals for shipment to stores and warehouses. * Perform accurate asset tracking and record updates using ServiceNow. * Work closely with store and warehouse personnel to coordinate delivery and setup. * Provide light troubleshooting and support during initial device setup (e.g., power, connectivity, basic configuration). * Assist non-technical users in a friendly, patient, and professional manner. * Escalate unresolved technical issues to appropriate support teams. * Physically move equipment across the warehouse floor to prepare devices for deployment. * Maintain a high level of customer service when interacting with internal staff. Qualifications: * 1+ year of experience in IT support, deployment, or customer-facing technical roles preferred. * Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and peripheral setup. * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; able to communicate clearly with non-technical users. * Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. * Comfortable in a warehouse environment with frequent walking and equipment handling. * Ability to lift and move boxes and devices as part of the job.
