* Hourly Pay: $27.40 Per Hour
* Health Stipend: $5.55 Per Hour
* Hours Per Week: 25  Hours per Week

* Schedule: Monday - Saturday
* Start Time: 3:45 AM - 4:45 AM
* Must have Straight Truck Experience

* Deliver SOLO To: 25 mile radius from Shreveport
* Route: Local Home Daily
* Trailer Type: 26' Straight Trucks
* Equipment: Rolling Carts & Lift Gates
* Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
* Freight: Touch - US Mail (Must be Registered for Military draft)

Responsibilities:

* Minimum 21 years of age
* Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
* Pass a Ryder Drug Test
* Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
* 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 
* 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
* 5 years' experience within the last 10 years 

* Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
* Pass a DOT physical
* Pass a Ryder road test
* Must have a valid driver's license
* Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
* Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Notice to Applicants Holding a CDL:

This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Qualifications:

* This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
* Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
* Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
* Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
* Other tasks as assigned
