Responsibilities:
As our Decision Support Analyst I you will play a crucial role in maintaining system encounter and financial databases and tables for our vital decision support system. This position is central to ensuring data integrity, performing routine updates, and conducting thorough audits, directly contributing to informed strategic decision-making within our organization.
Every day you will perform essential duties for the cost accounting closes, including meticulous costing audits and Relative Value Unit (RVU) development. You will also be responsible for creating meaningful analyses for various internal customers and producing scheduled reports accurately and on time. Acting as a consultant, you will provide valuable input for decision support projects and proactively discover and resolve financial or encounter integration issues, such as overhead allocation, financial remapping, and encounter data discrepancies.
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid skill set in Excel for data analysis and the ability to work independently, creating meaningful spreadsheets for various consumers. We are seeking a highly analytical professional with experience in healthcare finance, cost accounting, and database management. Your ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and effectively communicate with clinical and financial teams will be key to your success and our organizational efficiency.
* Decision Support System (DSS) Administration: Administer the DSS database, ensuring data accuracy through integration, auditing, and maintaining system tables.
* Cost Accounting Management: Maintain DSS tables for cost allocation and monthly reconciliation of general ledger data, including expense and revenue analysis.
* Routine Financial Reporting: Produce scheduled reports such as monthly operating margins, Clinical/Operational Excellence analyses, and vendor data pulls.
* DSS Facility Implementation: Assist with building and auditing data for consistent implementation of new facilities into the DSS application.
* Net Revenue Assurance: Audit and confirm the correct application of net revenue to encounters.
* Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis: Provide flexible and timely Ad-Hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
Required
* Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
* 1-3 years combined experience in healthcare finance, cost accounting, or decision support
