Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain the OS environments for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) IT Infrastructure Support Services (ITIS). This position will be located in DC and will be an onsite position. This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities:
Mid-level technical resource responsible for managing and optimizing an organization's DB systems to ensure high performance, security, and reliability. 7-10 years' experience, bachelor's degree, and relevant DB certifications. Ability to handle tasks such as DB installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning. Ability to follow direction provided by senior DBAs and team lead. Specialization in DB platforms, e.g., Oracle.
Qualifications:
Required: 7-10 years' experience. Bachelor's degree in IT or related field. Relevant database certifications. Current ITIL Foundation and/or Practitioner v.4 certifications.
Desired: Current DevSecOps FoundationSM certification from the DevOps Institute.
