Overview:
* Tier One Technologies is looking for a Data Solutions Architect for our direct US Government client.
* This hybrid Contract-to-Hire position will be located in Rosslyn, VA.
* Must be a US Citizen.
* SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary technical architect for data warehousing projects to address business intelligence challenges.
* Oversee the overall design and governance of the enterprise data platform.
* Provide guidance on governance best practices and support long-term alignment with the organization's collaboration goals.
* Manage QA functions, including developing unit, system, and integration test plans, and oversee their execution.
* Write technical documentation as well as end-user system documentation.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* 8+ years of enterprise Data architecture experience.
* Demonstrate proficiency in database design, ETL (OWB/ODI), reporting, and analytics.
* Possess deep technical expertise as both a Solutions architect and AI architect.
* Previous consulting experience utilizing an Agile delivery methodology.
* 3+ years of Azure ETL processing experience.
* 3+ years of experience utilizing data warehousing methodologies and processes.
* Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling.
* Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks.
* Proficiency in creating PL/SQL packages.
* Full SDLC and Data Modeling experience.
* Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to create both logical and physical data models.
* Ability to tune databases for maximum performance.
* Experience in Data Preparation - Data Profiling, Data Cleansing, and Data Auditing.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Ability to obtain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
* Ability to pass drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
* Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
* Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
