Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a Data Scientist to support a client in Reston, VA. Responsibilities: This work requires data science support to the creation, maintenance, and teaching of training for data science topics. This includes identifying topics for training, creating a training process, and administering that process. Well qualified candidates will have a desire to teach and mentor data scientists and have a thorough understanding of the goals and mission of IC and DoD clients. This job requires the applicant to be successful working individually and with a small group. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required to start. * 5+ years working with Python especially with creating Jupyter notebooks and working with core data science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and others). * 1+ year experience working with Unix environments including common terminal commands * 1+ year experience with Git and GitHub and using it collaboratively as part of a team. * 1+ year experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases Desired Qualifications: * Experience with big data tools for distributed computing, including Spark * Experience working programmatically with geospatial data * Experience using conda for python environment management * Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions * Experience with creating web applications using python * Experience working in cloud environments. * A desire to learn and teach data science topics
