Overview:
Our Sales team advocates for our products and the customers they serve. We've built a loyal customer base by selling consumers, retailers, affiliate partners, distributors and industry stakeholders on the DISH brands with authenticity. The sales department is critical to driving demand and creating strategic partnerships across the industry.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
* Testing: DIT (Data Integrity & Testing) performs user acceptance testing and database validation for IT changes that potentially impact enterprise reporting and DISH's sales and sales support tools; this includes analyzing projects and change requests, creating test scripts, identifying and reporting defects, and quantifying the impact of those defects; DIT is responsible for validating the projects that meet the business needs; if we determine if a project can have a negative impact on the business, it is our responsibility to block the project from moving to production; in addition, we work with external partners to confirm they are prepared for upcoming changes
* Production Support: DIT is the first point of contact to research, quantify, and troubleshoot issues reported by end-users and identified through proactive research; this responsibility includes on-call support from 7 am until 5 pm on weekdays and ad-hoc support on weekends; we are expected to provide excellent customer service and support to both internal groups and external partners, ranging from developers to executive leadership; in addition to providing support, we proactively monitor services through Dynatrace and LogzIo; these services monitor our sales tools to identify potential issues early and reduce their impact on the business
* Data Integrity: DIT helps maintain the data consumed by the reporting and compensation teams remain accurate and ensure team accuracy; this is done through end-to-end testing to confirm that new projects do not have a downstream impact and opening tickets to correct data issues reported within the production environment; if an issue requires a change to be made to our systems, DIT can create a Project Scope Document (PSD) to help the business implement any new features; document (PSD) to help the business implement any new features
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* A bachelor's degree in a related field like business, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field. Additionally, at least 2-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to quickly identify and prioritize problems
* Be a customer service oriented individual
* Have strong written and verbal communication skills
* A strong desire to continuously develop analytical skills
* A general understanding of Agile methodology and the Software Development Life Cycle is a plus
* A general understanding of data architecture and web-based applications is a plus
* Entry-level exposure to or experience with SQL
* Entry-level exposure to Python and API integration is a plus
* Javascript / Groovy with API automation
