Responsibilities:
Information Management Group, Inc. (IMG) is a trusted leader in delivering innovative IT and cybersecurity solutions with a commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction, and professional growth for over 30 years. IMG is hiring a Data Engineer to support the design, development, testing, documentation, deployment, and management of the team's current data systems. They possess experience in data engineering along with a demonstrated history of creating effective data applications. The customer continually evaluates and revaluates methodologies to refine processes, and occasionally there can be ambiguity in tasks; proactive, self- starters and learners will tend to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist key stakeholders in overall project execution and find solutions through creative problem solving
* Develop and maintain robust, scalable data models and architectures that support business intelligence and analytics needs, ensuring high data quality and performance across SQL databases
* Design, implement, and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into centralized data systems.
* Use Python and associated libraries to perform complex data transformations, validations, and statistical analyses that support reporting and decision-making.
* Work cross-functionally in Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups, using project management tools to track progress and collaborate with stakeholders.
* Integrate data into visualization platforms, ensuring that stakeholders can access intuitive, reliable dashboards and reports for actionable insights
* Handle sensitive data in accordance with security protocols
Qualifications:
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with strong data analysis skills, data modeling, and data architecture expertise
* Proficient in SQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Python programming, including statistical and database packages (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SQLAlchemy)
* Experience in data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Knime, Apache NiFi)
* Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
* Familiar with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA)
* Active Secret or L security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with SQLAlchemy
* Ability to lead small teams or projects through cross functional coordination and collaboration with other departments
* Assist key stakeholders in overall project execution and find solutions through creative problem solving
* Experience with various data storage solutions and security regulations
* Ability to demonstrate proven success with adaptability - willingness to evolve with technology while ensuring data accuracy standards
