The A.C Coy Company has an immediate need for a Data Engineer role. Ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience with data engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure services and power BI.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics to support data integration, transformation, and loading processes
* Oversee the optimization of data storage solutions, including data lakes and data warehouses, ensuring data is organized, accessible, and secure
* Utilize data pipelines and triggers to create and deliver data files reliably and repeatably
* Utilize Power BI and other tools to create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders
* Work closely with stakeholders, and leadership to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
* Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and storage solutions to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval
* Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in data engineering, Azure technologies, and data visualization tools, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the team
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related
Experience
* 5 years of experience in data engineering using Microsoft Azure services and Power BI
* Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
* Proficienct in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics\
* Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems
* Strong knowledge of Power BI for creating reports and dashboards
* Understand programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities
