				Overview:

Responsible for the collection, compilation, analysis and reporting of all data relevant to UPH-DM Simulation Education and Community Training Center. Performs accurate data entry of all charges related to Training Center courses. Maintains database for UPH-DM Training Center Instructors and courses. Coordinates transfer and delivery of bi- weekly UPH-DM Employee payroll deductions. Submits monthly credit card charges and company transfers to Central Accounting. Performs general secretarial duties for department.

Responsibilities:

Data Coordination

  Processes AHA Course rosters and distributes AHA course completion cards.

  Processes payment for AHA course completion cards through credit card billing, check processing, and company transfers.

  Maintains Excel Database of annual/on-going for AHA Instructors and their course.

  Initiates UPH-DM Employee payroll deductions for participants who do not attend scheduled courses.

  Produces monthly department revenue/activity financial reports.

  Processes security, printing, expense, and check requests and other forms as needed in compliance with organizational templates.  

Customer and Client Services

  Integrates and demonstrates FOCUS values to guide professional behaviors, while adhering to the policies and procedures of UnityPoint Health-Des Moines (UPH-DM)

  Coordinates and maintains scheduling of AHA courses for UPH-DM Simulation Center.

  Monitors department voice mail and forwards messages to appropriate parties as appropriate.

  Monitors incoming emails and ensures customer's needs are met.

  Distributes all correspondence and newsletters to AHA Instructors.

  Maintains Kronos timekeeper for department.

  Orders supplies and materials for the department.

  Remains current on operation of all office/computer equipment and serves as resource to others as needed.

  Maintains confidential, accurate data and paper files, policy books, department supplies, prepares supply requisitions and receives supplies.

Qualifications:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Reads, writes, and speaks fluent English. Secretarial training - one year preferred. Medical terminology preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three years previous clerical experience, preferable in a health care and or management setting. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Microsoft Publisher.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated training in or knowledge of, medical terminology. Proficient skill level of computer systems and office equipment and excel spread sheets.
