Overview:
Ensures accuracy of medicine handling, as well as an efficient workflow in providing patients with Pharmacy needs, are of a consistently high priority.
Responsibilities:
Directs Directors, Senior Managers, and occasionally senior individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for meaningful career development conversations and regular coaching feedback.
Leads area processes for the Pharmacy unit, and ensures methods align with the overall business strategy.
Organizes and supervises all aspects of daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe medication management processes throughout the hospital.
Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and adheres to all hospital policies and procedures.
Keeps abreast of technological and clinical practice changes and implements those improvements if needed.
Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development.
Manages operational aspects of their teams (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance), as well as implements workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.
Creates a purpose-driven environment by aligning the organization's mission, vision, and core values of improving health and promoting well-being with the strategies and goals of the Pharmacy team.
Qualifications:
Doctorate degree required
10+ years of experience required
Pharmacy license required.
