Overview:

The Dining Facility (DFAC) Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the dining facility, to include preparation and service of food, sanitation, housekeeping, maintenance and repair and special events in accordance with the performance work statement. Ensuring all standards are met or exceeded to provide quality service to the customer. DFAC Lead covers for the DFAC Manager when absent.
Responsibilities:
* Manages program planning and execution, labor, and supervision of contract labor to meet all dining facility (DFAC) requirements and support the mission of the AAAF in accordance with the performance work statement.
* Ensure effective use of resources to achieve highest standards of service in production and adherence to the Air Force Worldwide Menu or deviations as authorized by the COR, in accordance with the performance work statement.
* Oversees food service operation services to include cash handling, cooking, food preparation, baking, serving, replenishing food, storeroom operations, cleanliness of dining facility and DFAC equipment maintenance to meet the specific performance requirements and standards in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and standard operations procedures (SOPs).
* Ensure proper receipt, storage, inventory, and security of all subsistence delivered to the DFAC.
* Maintain excellent verbal and written communications with the COR and DFAC Manager.
* Ensure all employees are following all established Safety Policies and Regulations.
* Responsible for completing required reports and ensuring the dining facility operates within allocated financial parameters while maintaining quality standards.
* Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading b example, working as a team to provide professional food services.
* Shall assist the DFAC Manager as required and lead operations in absence of the DFAC Manager.
* Ensure customer flow rate corresponds with the serving line flow rate.
* Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
* Responsible for ensuring precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
* Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications:
* Education:
* Equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained may be substituted for education, if degree is required.
* Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred
* Certifications:
* Must have and maintain a current Serve-Safe certification
* Experience:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in cafeteria style or military food service within the past 5 years, with one 1 year of experience working in a large food service operation, cafeteria style or multi-entrée menu service, performing facility attendant service and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
* Experienced in implement progressive cooking.
* Strong ability to work and lead as a member of a diverse, dynamic team
* Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment
* Other Requirements:
* Must have a current, valid Passport, Driver's License and have ability to obtain any visa required
* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
* Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
* Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN)
* Skills and Technology Used:
* Must be knowledgeable in Tri-Service Food Code, DAFMAN 34-131, AFMAN 48-147, and FDA Food Code, Food Service Program Management Armed Forces Recipe System, inventory control, HACCP, and the U.S Department of Health and Human Services Food Code standards.
* Thorough understanding of quality customer food service and preparation of nutritional meals.
* Must be able to work under pressure.
* Service oriented.
