Overview: Coordinates all food services operations under the general guidance of the Site Manager. The DFAC Manager will direct all work and be responsible for performance in the DFAC and associated rations warehouse food storage (dry and cold) locations of the Ascension Base Dining Facility (to include subcontractors) to meet the specific performance requirements and standards in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Responsibilities: * Manages program planning and execution, labor, and supervision of contract labor to meet all dining facility (DFAC) requirements and support the mission of the AAAF in accordance with the performance work statement. * Oversees food service operation services to include cash handling, cooking, food preparation, baking, serving, replenishing food, storeroom operations, cleanliness of dining facility and DFAC equipment maintenance to meet the specific performance requirements and standards in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and standard operations procedures (SOPs). * Responsible for adhering to the budget, monitoring food and labor costs, identifying cost-saving measures. * Shall sign each production log to ensure proper planning and forecasting before each meal preparation. * Shall ensure each Production Log is filled out completely and submitted to the COR in accordance with the performance work statement. * Manages all equipment accountability, repair/replacement of furniture, equipment, & real property to include disposition turn-in. * Ensure all employees are following all established Safety Policies and Regulations. * Direct and ensure HACCP controls are followed. * Establish and maintain a comprehensive food safety training program. * Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas. * Responsible for ensuring precise execution of company time reporting procedures, and accurate completion of timesheet. * Responsible for completing required reports and ensuring the dining facility operates within allocated financial parameters while maintaining quality standards. * Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications: * Education: Equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained may be substituted for education, if degree is required. * Must have a bachelor's degree in food management or five (5) years in military food service may be substituted for the degree and manager experience. * Certifications: * Must have and maintain a current Serve-Safe certification (Within 3 years). * Experience: * A minimum of five (5) years of cafeteria style or military food service experience within the past ten (10) years. With a minimum of three years of operational and managerial experience of a diverse workforce. * Managerial experience to include performance management of employees, training, completing required reports, and excellent customer satisfaction results. * Prefer, Military food service experience within the past five (5) years. * Other Requirements: * Must have a current, valid Passport, Driver's License and have ability to obtain any visa required * Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently. * Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc. * Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN) We are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace that values and supports the contributions of each individual.
