As our Data & AI Presales Senior Consultant, you'll inspire clients and champion SoftwareOne's capabilities by proactively creating demand, shaping early discovery, and opening doors with senior stakeholders across new and existing accounts.  

Working closely with Account Managers and technical teams, you'll qualify opportunities, scope and size solutions, and drive momentum throughout the deal cycle. Leveraging deep industry insight and broad technology expertise, you'll help customers translate business needs into pragmatic Azure solutions to accelerate their cloud and AI adoption. 

Key Responsibilities 

* Map white space within accounts with the Account Manager to identify new business areas where Azure, Azure OpenAI, Data, and Microsoft Fabric can drive value 

* Build compelling value hypotheses tied to measurable business outcomes to secure executive engagement and generate new demand 

* Lead early discovery with senior stakeholders to uncover pain points, shape problem statements, and align opportunities to clear outcomes 

* Collaborate with sales and clients to assess requirements, objectives, and constraints, ensuring a clear understanding of what SoftwareOne can deliver 

* Scope and size opportunities effectively using strong analytical skills to align solutions with client expectations and organizational capabilities 

* Act as a subject matter expert in client interactions, presentations, and workshops, demonstrating our capabilities and market insight 

* Contribute to PreSales team knowledge while consistently working toward exceeding sales targets 

Qualifications:

* Expertise in Azure Data & AI, including Microsoft Fabric, lakehouse concepts, Azure data platforms (Data Factory, Synapse), BI patterns, data pipelines, data modeling, and applied AI/ML use cases across industries 

* Strong Azure OpenAI understanding-model selection, prompting fundamentals, RAG patterns, safety/guardrails, and responsible AI principles 

* Broad software engineering awareness, including Agile/Scrum/Waterfall methodologies, common frameworks (Spring, .NET, Django), and modern tooling such as GitHub 

* Proven value‑led prospecting skills, crafting outcome‑driven hypotheses to open high‑impact conversations 

* Demonstrated success in large-scale services sales, influencing C‑suite and senior stakeholders (IT, LOB, procurement, finance, legal) and driving revenue growth beyond targets 

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to articulate business challenges, define technology-enabled outcomes, and collaborate effectively across teams
