Summary/Objective: 

This position is responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory integrity through the cycle counting process, ensuring materials are in proper locations and conducting searches to locate misclassified inventory. This position reports to the Inventory Control Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Research inventory discrepancies and reconcile them, resolving these issues in a timely manner.
* Completes physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations as needed
* Track and report non-conforming product; document damaged product.
* Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials on a daily basis.
* Process cycle counts on bulk raw materials.
* Utilize ERP software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity as needed.
* Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand.
* Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision - publish periodic inventory metrics
* Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)
* Assist in receiving and putting away new raw materials and packaging and in transfers to and from production area.
* Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
* Perform other duties as assigned

* Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary, including basic Word and Excel skills
* Organization Skills: Maintain clean and organized work space
* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate in English within a team setting, verbally and in writing
* Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:  Ability to walk, stand, sit, push, pull, reach above shoulders, fine repetitive motion, bend, stoop, climb ladder, ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Basic math skills.
* Physical Environment:  Fast-paced manufacturing environment

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to count and record findings. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crouching, carrying items, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are decided by production and your Manager.

Travel

Travel would be very minimal, if any, and would be primarily local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience

* Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent for this position.
* Must pass a forklift certification test within two weeks of hire.
* Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data.

Preferred Education and Experience

* Manufacturing/industry experience.
* Inventory experience.
* One year of related experience in shipping and receiving
* Relevant warehouse experience within the last 5 years.
* Recent experience with Cycle counting/inventory.
