Overview:
* GovCIO is hiring a Cybersecurity Team Lead to support the USFK USACIAS-P program in the Republic of Korea (South Korea). This position will be located at USAG Humphreys, Pyeongtaek, Korea, and will be a fully onsite position.
Responsibilities:
Directs a specialized team focused on protecting mission-critical DoD and military networks, including classified coalition environments. This role involves leading cybersecurity operations, risk management, compliance with DoD standards, incident response, vulnerability mitigation, and security posture enhancement in high-stakes operational settings. The lead ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems supporting U.S. and partner forces, coordinates with military stakeholders, implements security controls, and drives continuous improvement to counter evolving threats in dynamic coalition and classified networks.
* Lead and mentor the cybersecurity team in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations for classified and coalition systems.
* Oversee implementation of cybersecurity policies, risk assessments, and compliance with DoD frameworks such as RMF.
* Develop and enforce security measures, including access controls, encryption, monitoring, and auditing across networked environments.
* Coordinate incident handling, forensic analysis, and recovery efforts for security events impacting military operations.
* Provide guidance on secure system configurations, accreditation processes, and long-term security planning in partnership with DoD entities and coalition partners.
* Ensure comprehensive documentation, reporting, and training to maintain accreditation and operational readiness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
* Clearance Required: Secret
* Leading and supervising cybersecurity teams in DoD, military, or government classified environments to manage security operations, compliance, and risk mitigation
* Implementing and managing cybersecurity controls, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and security monitoring on classified networks or secure DoD systems
* Applying DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST standards, or equivalent) to achieve and maintain system accreditation and authorization
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Hands-on cybersecurity engineering, operations, or compliance on CENTRIXS-K or similar bilateral/multinational coalition networks in DoD coalition settings
* Managing security controls, RMF accreditation processes, continuous monitoring, and audit compliance for classified military systems such as CENTRIXS-K or other DoD coalition enclaves
* Developing and maintaining cybersecurity documentation, acceptable use policies, procedures, and compliance artifacts for secure coalition networks like CENTRIXS-K, including support for security testing and transition planning
