Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Cybersecurity Fundamentals Instructor to develop and deliver training on cyber security aspects. This position will be located in Columbia MD, and will be an on-site position. Responsibilities: Plans, develops, and implements technical product or system training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Requires prior technical subject matter knowledge and experience. May administer tests. May include military trainers. * Creating and updating training materials, including presentations, manuals, and lab exercises * Providing practical exercises and simulations to reinforce learning and develop practical skills * Effectively communicating technical information to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical learners * Evaluating student performance through tests, assignments, and projects, providing feedback to help them improve Qualifications: High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience) Required Skills and Experience * Clearance Required: Secret * 6+ years of experience delivering comprehensive training across fundamental and advanced cybersecurity principles to diverse learners * Skilled in instruction (ISD, ADDIE, Bloom's taxonomy, SAMR), foundational cybersecurity concepts, platform awareness, and communication * IAT Level II or higher ****PENDING CONTRACT AWARD*** Preferred Skills and Experience: * Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or IT
