Overview: Sev1Tech is seeking an Cyber Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems. * Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network * Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies * Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure; and respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports. * Other duties as assigned by management. Responsibilities: * Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent * Dependent on PWS tasking, individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570 * Three (3) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements * Deploys enterprise tools to enable advanced threat hunting * Implements network inspection and packet capture systems * Equipment installation including superb cable management Available to Travel up to 60 days per year / several week-long trips CONUS and OCONUS
