Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our fast-paced call center team, responsible for processing orders, return authorizations, and quotations for spare parts and chemistry products. In this role, you'll support our Sales Representatives and internal teams while resolving customer issues efficiently. Join a dedicated customer service team committed to delivering exceptional support to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
* Accurately initiate and manage the order processing cycle, reviewing and modifying orders as necessary
* Process quotations and responses to RFQs within 24 hours
* Create return authorizations and process associated credits or rebills as applicable
* Resolve order-related issues, including pricing, availability, terms, and delivery concerns
* Collaborate with Accounting to address post-shipment issues and order discrepancies
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and expedite shipments when needed
* Communicate professionally with internal and external customers via phone and email, actively supporting the chemistry consumables call center and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
* Associate's degree preferred
* 2-5+ years of prior customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone demeanor
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve problems effectively and efficiently
* Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and ISO work instructions
* Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a plus
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Prior experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable
