Responsibilities: Our Customer Service Pharmacy Technician coordinates communication between pharmacy, providers and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner. This person will: * Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies * Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests * Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications * Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices * Utilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level * Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word * Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner * Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent is required * One year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer service * Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred * Strong computer and data entry skills * Must have good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills * Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
