Responsibilities: * Performs general custodial functions, including garbage collection and disposal, cleaning, shampooing, waxing floors, and cleaning office areas, restrooms, and work areas, wipe mirrors and windows, wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables, clean, sanitize and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas as per instruction and perform cleaning of swimming pools. * Maintains clean facilities by performing weekly duties and daily spot cleaning in all public areas of the building, including bathrooms, sanctuary, kitchens, and meeting rooms. * Observes proper chemical-handling procedures when working with cleaning agents. Performs maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and restocking bathrooms. Understands cleaning techniques and safety procedures. * Must report any damages, injuries or exposure to hazardous material and diseases to the Custodial Supervisor. * The swimming pool maintenance is performed by custodians but adheres to the cleaning of the pool area. Specific certifications are not required. * Custodian will need to take blood borne pathogen training upon arrival, facilitated by the program. Years of experience in this field is preferred but not required. * Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications: * Minimum Qualifications * Experience * Prior Custodial experience preferred. * No specific certifications are required but will need to take blood borne pathogen training upon arrival, which the program will facilitate. * Working Environment * Shift work and/or flexible working hours and/or overtime and/or assigned rest day rotation may be required. Subject environmental conditions activities can occur both inside and outside. * Physical Activities * Physically capable of working in hot or warm weather all year long, with little change in seasons.
