Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:
Must be able to work overnights, 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts.

Job Responsibilities:
* Must have a basic understanding of maritime operation.
* Proficiency in paralleling the generators and operation of Emergency Generator.
* Proficiency in operation and use of lifesaving equipment on board the vessel.
* Must be able to handle stressful situations where efficiency and time are of urgency.
* Must have the ability to operate and utilize mooring winches.
* Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
* Assists in building interface or accessory equipment as needed.
* Responds to guest requests for maintenance assistance in order to provide courteous, timely, and expert service.
* Performs basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, and cables.
* Performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts.
* Keeps workshop orderly by cleaning toolboxes, putting always tools and parts, and straightening electrical storage area.
* Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
* Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum two (2) years of facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
* Must have working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and/or finishing trades.
* Knowledge of paint mixing techniques and airless spraying equipment strongly preferred.
* Must have knowledge of materials and installation techniques related to carpet, carpet tiles, stone flooring materials, and hardwood floors.
* Must be skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
* Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to safely and properly use all equipment associated with the position.
* Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
* Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work areas.
* CSO certification is a mandatory requirement for this position and the cost will be fully covered by Ameristar.
