Overview:
The Corporate Law Department is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Counsel in its newly created Commercial Sales, Strategic Partnerships and Marketing Practice Area. The Corporate Counsel will work in partnership with Enterprise Holdings' best-in-class commercial sales teams as we continue to expand our commercial offerings and footprint in various areas including rental replacement, business rental, and tour/travel/leisure. The Corporate Counsel will also be a key member of the team providing day-to-day legal support for Enterprise Holdings' marketing efforts, which include protecting our world class brands as we participate in various high leverage advertising, sponsorship, promotion and partnership opportunities.
The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for structuring, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial sales agreements for Enterprise Holdings, including providing guidance in preparation for and during contract negotiations and managing outside counsel. The candidate must have extensive commercial contracting and transactional law experience as well as experience providing legal guidance for corporate advertising, sponsorship, promotion and/or marketing activities. Ultimately, the Corporate Counsel will be responsible for providing competent and timely legal services for the Enterprise Holdings commercial sales and marketing functions, including commercial transactions, regulatory review, and general corporate initiatives along with management of outside counsel.
The selected individual must be collaborative, creative, efficient, personable and results-oriented - with outstanding oral and written communication abilities and the ability to work seamlessly in a fast-paced, team environment.
The position reports through the Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO but a remote working arrangement may be considered for a well-qualified candidate.

Responsibilities:
* Manage and assist clients with resolving all legal issues pertaining to various corporate, transactional, marketing, and regulatory matters in a manner consistent with Enterprise Holdings' business philosophy and strategy, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* Create and update commercial sales contract templates to meet evolving business objectives, minimize friction and protect Enterprise Holdings' interests
* Prepare and negotiate key commercial sales contracts to which the company is a party and ensure that they properly protect Enterprise's interests
* Provide the primary day-to-day legal support for Enterprise Holdings' North American marketing department
* Facilitate timely and accurate interpretations of the various laws and regulations affecting Enterprise Holdings' businesses to management and operating personnel; keep them apprised of the types of action that require legal consideration
* Monitor and keep management and operating personnel abreast of the existence and impact of judicial and regulatory developments affecting potential legal exposures and compliance obligations of the company
* Provide ongoing strategic planning, guidance and consultation regarding potential and actual disputes

Qualifications:
Minimum:
* Juris doctorate from an accredited law school required
* Five (5) or more years of transactional legal experience drafting and negotiating customer-facing commercial sales contracts in a business law firm or in a corporate law department with a proven record of professional excellence and achievement
* Experience providing legal guidance for corporate advertising, sponsorship, promotion and/or marketing activities
* Admission to at least one state Bar in the United States is required, with the ability to qualify with the Missouri state bar
* Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
* Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
