What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Transit Oriented Community (TOC) team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a project coordinator or junior project manager on transit projects or with large, multidisciplinary teams.This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Toronto office.

What you'll be challenged to do:
* Steer large, multifaceted architecture and engineering projects from early concept through hand‑over, keeping scope, schedule, cost, and quality tightly aligned.
* Build and maintain integrated project schedules, budgets, risk registers, change‑management logs, and document‑control systems.
* Diagnose emerging risks, propose practical mitigations, and communicate impacts to technical leaders and executives in a concise, solutions‑focused style.
* Facilitate seamless coordination among architects, engineers, contractors, government agencies, land developers, and other external stakeholders-ensuring approvals, permits, and deliverables land on time.
* Prepare and deliver clear, compelling progress reports and presentations for internal teams, clients, and public forums.
* Champion a culture of rigorous quality assurance, continuous improvement, and safety across every stage of project delivery.
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Project Coordinator experience within the architecture or engineering sector.
* Technical & Digital Proficiency
* Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
* Comfortable working in ProjectWise for document management and in Acrobat or Bluebeam for mark‑ups and reviews
* Project Controls & Risk Management
* Demonstrated ability to interpret and create detailed project schedules, cost plans, and risk registers, and to keep them current as conditions evolve.
* Organizational & Communication Strengths
* Impeccable time‑management skills-able to juggle multiple deadlines under pressure without sacrificing accuracy.
* Clear, persuasive communicator in both written reports and live presentations, adaptable to technical and non‑technical audiences alike.
What we prefer you bring:
* Professional Credentials & Tools
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Working knowledge of Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling software), plus familiarity with Revit, MicroStation, and AutoCAD for design‑file navigation.
* Sector‑Specific Expertise
Prior experience on Transit‑Oriented Community (TOC) initiatives or other projects involving complex land‑use planning, municipal approvals, and infrastructure interfaces.
Proven track record liaising with multiple levels of government, developers, and community stakeholders in a fast‑moving project environment.
Compensation:
Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
