Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Sleep Lab Coordinator as a Licensed Respiratory Care practitioner or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist performs polysomnographic diagnostic and therapeutic testing and analysis to assist sleep clinicians with the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and sleep related breathing disorders in children and adults. Collaborates with OSF Sleep Team and local leadership to build an innovative pediatric and adult sleep program that supports an integrated and team based approach to provide the highest quality of holistic care to our patients. Provides meaningful input and assist the leader with development and implementation of sleep program procedures and guidelines, quality assurance projects, maintaining accreditation standards. Assists leadership with Sleep Center operations with regard to staffing, staff education and safety, scheduling of staff and patients, customer care, quality, satisfaction and safety.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School/GED
Licenses/Certifications: POLYSM-Registered Polysom Technician, Registered Respiratory Therapist with current license to practice in the State of Illinois and or Registration with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM).
Experience: Two years of experience in health care operations with experience in pediatric and adult sleep and/or respiratory care.
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An intermediate level of educational development is required in order to effectively coordinate sleep services, experience generally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree.
BRPT-RPSGT, or ABSM-RST, or NBRC-SDS Certification.
