Overview: Come join Team Atlantis! Sushi cook needed for Varied Shift in Atlantis' All-You-Can-Eat Sushi Bar. Located on our smoke-free Sky Terrace! 50 selections of Nigiri and Maki sushi served in both our casual bar-side seating or table dining. Swing Shift Position Responsibilities: * Prepare sushi ingredients, such as rice, fish, vegetables, and other components, ensuring high-quality and fresh ingredients are used. * Slice, chop, and fillet fish and other seafood with precision and skill. * Roll sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other sushi variations using traditional techniques and artistic presentation. * Maintain a clean and organized work station, following proper hygiene and food safety standards. * Ensure that sushi dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner to meet customer demands. * Collaborate with kitchen staff and other sushi chefs to coordinate orders and maintain a smooth workflow. * Assist in the creation and development of new sushi dishes and menu items. * Interact with customers, provide recommendations, and answer questions about the sushi offerings. * Stay updated on sushi trends, techniques, and ingredients to continuously improve skills and enhance menu offerings. * Adhere to restaurant policies, procedures, and regulations, including portion control and waste management. * Prepare food items while adhering to health department regulations. * Know food and safety sanitation standards. * Follow Atlantis Policies and Procedures. * Produce a consistent and quality product. * Other assignments as assigned my management. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Qualifications: Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant setting. * Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods. * Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are a plus. **Physical Requirements: ** * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots, pans, and trays. * Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment. ***MUST adhere to all grooming standards, no "visible" tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors*** Atlantis Casino Resort Spa fosters a team working environment and an environment that is focused on Team Member recognition and appreciation.
