Overview:
CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson part of CommonSpirit Heath a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care assisted and residential living communities community health services organizations home health agencies and numerous outpatient facilities.
Works under the supervision of a Food Service Supervisor (Executive Chef). Provides optimal food service to patients, visitors, and employees in a manner consistent with the mission and philosophy of CHI St. Alexius Health Williston.
Responsibilities:
* Follows procedures in cleaning and handling of dishes, utensils, equipment and work surfaces
* Executes proper use of cleaning products and equipment temperature practices
* Executes good hand washing techniques, and wears proper hair restraints
* Adheres to department policy regarding washing, rinsing and sanitizing cooking equipment and serviceware
* Follows proper food handling techniques when either receiving, storing, preparing, or serving food items
* Utilizes the menus, food forecasts, tally sheets/order sheets, serving portion guidelines
* Correctly stores, labels, dates and rotates food items
* Follows department policy on taste testing food before service
* Transports food correctly
Qualifications:
Required Education for Staff Job Levels
Ability to read and write and follow both written and oral instructions. Some mathematics may be required.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
One year cooking experience preferred, but not required
PREFERRED Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
