Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:
* Consistently prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner, or hor d'oeuvres to standards established by the Executive Chef.
* Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly.
* Trains new Bogart's cooks in assigned kitchen.
* Must be able to stand a full shift.
* Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members.
* Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment.
* Minimum of two years' experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Apprentice for Certification preferred.
* Ability to identify all products used in kitchen operation. Ability to recognize spoiled or questionable products. Ability to read, comprehend and execute recipes. Ability to successfully complete Cook II tests.
* While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and taste or smell. The team member is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
* While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
