Overview: Now hiring a COOK I to support our Food Service Area. Prepare hot food items for all areas of the department. Prepare food for cold prep, grab and go, and bulk production. Ideal Candidate: One to three years experience in high volume preparation and cooking of food in a hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, catering firm, government or private institution. Responsibilities: * Assists in the preparation of hot food items for all areas as indicated by menu cycles. * Responsible for preliminary preparation of food items for next day as indicated by menu cycle. * Ability to read production tickets * Assists with routine cleaning and sanitation of areas. * Assists with serving food items as indicated by established workflow * Must demonstrate competency in knife skills * Must demonstrate competency in food service safety practices and procedures, and temperature control * Assists with other duties as needed Qualifications: * High School/GED preferred.
