Overview: Cook Assistant Grundy County Memorial Hospital As-Needed The Cook Assistant helps in maintaining a clean kitchen, in washing dishes pots and pans, and in properly storing equipment and supplies. The Cook Assistant prepares food, delivers/serves food under the supervision of the Cook. Responsibilities: Key Accountability * Washes and sanitizes dishware, service ware, silverware, pots, pans, cups, glasses, and containers using both hand and automatic dishwashing methods. Stores clean sanitized wares in proper location. Cleans and sanitizes work surfaces. * Assists with food preparation, putting groceries and supplies away, filling department food stock orders, dishing, and serving under the direction of the Cook. * Sweeps and mops the floor. Completes cleaning assignments. Qualifications: Required: * Successful completion of sanitation study courses as provided by Grundy County Memorial Hospital. * Must have oral and written English communication skills as well as basic math skills. * Must be driven to delight customers above and beyond what is expected in a pleasant and friendly manner. * Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
