IT Asset Management Consultant
Scope: Full-time | Hybrid | Quito, Ecuador
The Consultant specializes in either Software Asset Management (SAM) Delivery, while being open to developing skills in both areas to support a wide range of customer engagements.
Core Responsibilities:
* Project Delivery & Onboarding
* Lead onboarding of mid-to-large IT Asset management customers.
* Ensure successful delivery of engagements with medium complexity.
* Coordinate and execute project plans, including transfer of engagements.
* Ensure adherence to SoftwareONE's service and project methodologies.
* Team Support & Leadership
* Act as a role model and coach for junior team members
* Lead customer workshops and contribute to service community (e.g., blogs, whitepapers).
* Customer Engagement
* Maintain effective internal/external communication with all stakeholders.
* Participate in business review meetings.
* Engage in consultative selling and identify upselling opportunities.
Qualifications:
* Experience in IT consulting, Technical Support/ troubleshooting.
* Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
* Strong project management, consulting, and business process analysis skills.
* Familiarity with IT industry standards (ITIL, Six Sigma, COBIT).
* Solid understanding of Microsoft platforms (Windows Server, Azure, CSP).
* Intermediate English.
Behavioral skills
* Proven customer-facing communication, presentation, and relationship management capabilities.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report writing abilities.
* Demonstrated independence, accountability, and ability to multitask in a structured, results-oriented way.
Preferred Skills:
* Microsoft Specialist Certifications (e.g., Azure, CSP)
* SAM Certifications (e.g., CSAM)
* Tool-specific Certifications (e.g., Snow, Flexera, SAM Pro, Movere)
* Procurement Certifications (CPP, CIPS) - for Procurement-focused roles.
* Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud/hybrid solutions, and licensing models.
* Advanced knowledge of software licensing, contracts, and product use rights.
