Responsibilities:

* Valuation-Led Strategy: Develop and execute defensible valuation strategies for intangible assets-including data, brands, software, regulatory approvals, and proprietary know-how-grounded in established methodologies and enhanced through innovation.
* Client Partnership: Advise executive stakeholders on how intangible asset valuations inform investment, M\&A, licensing, and corporate strategy.
* Practice Leadership: Help to build and lead a high-performance team that blends deep valuation expertise with strategic consulting capability.

As a Senior Manager, Intangible Asset Valuation, you will help lead client engagements that quantify, analyze, and unlock the financial and strategic value of intangible assets. You will apply your mastery of established valuation methodologies-such as relief-from-royalty, excess earnings, and cost-based models-while also developing proprietary approaches tailored to novel or complex asset classes. Your role bridges the technical rigor of valuation with the forward-looking lens of strategy and commercialization.

In this role, you will:

* Lead Advanced Valuations: Direct client engagements that require rigorous, well-documented valuations of intangible assets-whether for transactions, strategic planning, financial reporting, litigation, or internal decision-making.
* Apply and Extend Valuation Frameworks: Leverage established methodologies and industry standards, while also innovating and adapting frameworks to suit emerging asset classes and complex ownership structures.
* Translate Valuation into Action: Partner with clients to apply valuation outputs to tangible business strategies-enhancing monetization, mitigating risk, and supporting growth initiatives.
* Build and Manage High-Performing Teams: Oversee and help grow multi-disciplinary teams of valuation analysts, consultants, and subject matter experts to deliver exceptional outcomes.
* Deliver End-to-End Impact: Guide projects from initial scoping through to delivery, implementation, and impact tracking, ensuring outcomes are aligned to client objectives.
* Foster Internal Collaboration: Work across Andersen's global platform to access expertise, support complex mandates, and help grow the firm's reputation in intangible asset strategy and valuation.

Compensation and Benefits

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Chicago, the expected salary range for this role is $153,660 - $280,000; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

* Valuation Expertise: Demonstrated experience applying established valuation techniques (e.g., income, market, and cost approaches) to intangible or IP-rich assets.
* Innovation Capability: Ability to design and refine bespoke valuation methodologies for complex, emerging, or non-traditional asset types.
* Consulting Experience: Background in strategy or management consulting, with strong project management skills and executive client exposure.
* Strategic Acumen: Clear understanding of how valuation insights translate into commercial advantage, competitive strategy, and enterprise value.
* Executive Presence: Skilled communicator with the ability to influence and advise at senior management and C-suite level.
* Leadership: Proven ability to develop, motivate, and lead teams in high-stakes engagements.
* Analytical Rigor: Advanced financial modeling skills and a critical approach to both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
* Educational Background: Degree in finance, economics, business, law, or intellectual property-ideally with postgraduate qualifications or certifications (e.g., CFA, ASA, CEIV).

Preferred (but not essential):

* Experience in IP litigation support, licensing, or M&A advisory.
* Experience with litigation support, transfer pricing, or purchase price allocation.
* Background in intellectual property licensing or IP-intensive transactions.
