Responsibilities:

* Valuation-Led Strategy: Lead the development and execution of firm-wide strategies for assessing, valuing, and unlocking the full potential of intangible assets-including data, brands, algorithms, regulatory rights, and proprietary know-how.
* Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to boards and C-suite executives, translating intangible asset valuations into actionable strategy, investment decisions, and transaction support.
* Practice Leadership: Build, scale, and lead a world-class valuation and strategy team with deep expertise in intangible assets and intellectual property, operating across multiple geographies and sectors.

As a Director in our Intangible Asset Practice, you will play a central leadership role in Andersen's global consulting business. You will take responsibility for both the delivery and continuous improvement of our Intangible Asset Services, combining technical expertise, strategic insight, and commercial acumen. This includes leading major client engagements, developing and evolving proprietary methodologies, and mentoring senior professionals.

You will be expected to represent Andersen in the market, shaping how clients think about and use intangible assets to drive enterprise value. The role requires deep fluency in valuation techniques, strong executive presence, and the ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects across jurisdictions.

In this role, you will:

* Lead high-value, complex client engagements that require rigorous and defensible intangible asset valuations, often in support of investment, M&A, litigation, or strategic decision-making.
* Design and evolve proprietary frameworks for valuing and analyzing intangible assets-including but not limited to income, market, and cost-based methods-ensuring they remain commercially relevant and methodologically robust.
* Shape go-to-market strategies, contributing to brand development, market positioning, and strategic business development.
* Build and lead multi-disciplinary, often cross-border teams, driving delivery excellence, collaboration, and continuous capability development.
* Advise clients on how to apply valuation insights to drive growth, structure deals, secure funding, and enhance asset governance.
* Develop and manage key client relationships at the executive and board level, serving as the account lead on strategic engagements.
* Represent Andersen as a thought leader in the valuation and strategy of intangible assets, including publications, events, and client education.
* Collaborate with colleagues globally to support firm-wide learning, IP development, and delivery excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Chicago, the expected salary range for this role is $225,000 - $350,000; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

* Extensive experience delivering intangible asset or IP valuations in consulting, advisory, or corporate finance contexts.
* Deep knowledge of established valuation methodologies (e.g., relief-from-royalty, multi-period excess earnings, replacement cost) and demonstrated ability to innovate in the face of novel or complex asset types.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to translate valuation insights into business value creation and competitive strategy.
* Proven track record in leading high-performing teams and large-scale, multi-stakeholder engagements.
* Strong academic background in finance, economics, law, or intellectual property, ideally with advanced qualifications (e.g., CFA, CEIV, ASA, LLM).
* Confident communicator capable of influencing at board level and leading difficult client conversations with clarity and authority.
* Highly proficient in building and maintaining senior client relationships and developing new business.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach to solving complex client problems.

Preferred:

* Experience in IP litigation support, licensing, or M&A advisory.
* Experience with litigation support, transfer pricing, or purchase price allocation.
* Background in intellectual property licensing or IP-intensive transactions.
