Job Purpose:
The Construction Site Manager oversees and manages projects on-site from inception to completion. Individuals will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to meet all expectations in quality standards. The Construction Site Manager will supervise daily site operations, manage subcontractors, and maintain compliance with all safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
* Site Supervision - Oversee and coordinate all on- site construction activities, ensuring that work is carried out in compliance with project plans, specifications and schedules.
* Team Management - Supervise and manage all contractors and site personnel ensuring proper coordination of work and adherence to safety standards.
* Project Scheduling - Maintain project schedules, track progress, and ensure milestones are met. Address any delays or issues promptly to avoid project delays.
* Safety Compliance - Enforce strict safety standards and ensure that all site workers follow OSHA regulations and best practices. Conduct routine safety inspections and meetings.
* Quality Control - Monitor construction quality, verifying that materials and workmanship meet project specifications and industry standards. Report any deficiencies or defects promptly.
* Problem Solving - Proactively identify and resolve construction-related issues, conflicts, or delays that may arise during the project lifecycle.
* Communication - Act as a primary point of contact between project managers and project owners providing regular updates and project progress while addressing concerns.
* Reporting - Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, materials used, labor hours, safety incidents, and other relevant information. Prepare and submit regular daily reports to management.
* Working Conditions:
* Ability to work in varying weather conditions and on construction sites.
* Travel will be required depending on the project location.
* Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends, if necessary.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as site manager or in a similar construction supervisory role
* In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
* Proven experience managing a construction team and coordinating contractors.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Proficient in project management software and construction management tools (i.e. Procore, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook)
* Valid OSHA 30 certification, First Aid/CPR accreditation.
