Responsibilities:
GFT is seeking a Construction Manager - Roadway and Bridges to join our Construction Services Team in Chicago or Rockford, IL! This role requires regular attendance at our Chicago and/or Rockford, IL office.

What you'll be challenged to do:

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
* Prepares and monitors project schedules.
* Performs periodic construction observation and inspection.
* Possesses basic surveying interpretation skills.
* Prepares reports and correspondence.
* Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
* Prepares construction payment applications.
* Negotiates and prepares construction change orders.
* Reviews submittals and other technical data.
* Proficient with construction management software for document management and scheduling.
* Performs constructibility reviews and value engineering studies.
* Assists with Risk Management assessments.
* Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
* Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
* IDOT Documentation Certification, required.
* 7+ years of experience.
* Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
* 10-hour OSHA Safety course.
* Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $98,000 - $140,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
