				Responsibilities:

GFT  is seeking Construction Inspector to join our team for upcoming projects in Rocky Hill, CT area. In this position, you will report to construction sites, ensuring that contractors' work adheres to contract requirements.

What you'll be challenged to do:

As a Construction Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the completion of roadway paving projects throughout Connecticut. Your expertise is important in contributing to projects that enhance transportation infrastructure, providing safer and smoother journeys for the residents of the state.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

* Interface with the Resident Engineer/Chief Inspector all facets of the project
* Perform daily construction inspection of work activities.
* Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.

Qualifications:

What you'll bring to our firm:

* Minimum BS - Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management programs or NICET- Certified in Transportation Construction Inspection (TCI) Level 2 or higher required
* Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
* Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors and climb bridge superstructures
* Must have the ability to work efficiently with little supervision
* This position requires travel and varied working hours

What we prefer you bring:

* Preferred certifications ACI level 1, NETTCP CI, NETTCP HMAPI, and ATSSA-TCS certificates are highly desirable
* 5+ years' experience as a construction inspector working on CONNDOT paving projects.
* Experience with pavement preservation projects preferred

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $115,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
