Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking qualified Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team in South Jersey!
Our team plays a hands-on role in inspecting, designing, rehabilitating, and constructing hundreds of highway, roadway, and bridges across the United States. Join our team and partner closely with state departments of transportation, public agencies, and private developers on projects that matter.
Responsibilities:
* Perform quality control construction observations for various highway, roadway and bridge construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety.
* Effectively react to clients, contractors, and local residents while speaking clearly and concisely.
* Responsible for reading contract documents and construction plans.
* Responsible for field construction observation monitoring/tracking of construction sequencing, cost, scheduling, and performance decisions.
* Assure that proper document control, quality assurance documentation and construction project records are kept.
* Assure quality and uniformity in the records of various contracts in the overall program.
Qualifications:
* Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology preferred with 3+ years experience in construction inspection, construction management, and/or construction quality assurance required OR
* Candidates with a High school diploma and 5+ years of experience in construction inspection, construction management, and/or construction quality assurance.
* Valid Driver's license required.
* NICET, ACI, SAT and TCC Certification preferred.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, time management, and attention to detail.
* Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Compensation: $24.43 to $35.79 per hour (depending on qualifications)
