Overview:
GovCIO is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Management Analyst III (Senior) to join our team in Doral, FL.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of an organization's IT infrastructure and service information
* Lead and mentor junior team members, drive process improvements, and ensure that configuration data is consistently reliable and up-to-date
* Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the configuration management database (CMDB), ensuring that all IT assets, configurations, and relationships are properly documented
* Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures for the CMDB
* Perform regular audits and reconciliations of the CMDB to identify and resolve discrepancies
* Implement and maintain automated discovery and dependency mapping tools
* Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize configuration management processes
* Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality
* Promote the adoption of configuration management best practices across the organization
* Collaborate with other ITSM Teams, such as Incident, Problem, and Change Management, to ensure seamless integration of configuration data
* Provide accurate and timely configuration information to support incident resolution, problem analysis, and change implementation
* Maintain a strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including hardware, software, network devices, and cloud services
* Develop and maintain technical documentation related to configuration management processes and tools
* Provide direction and mentorship to junior staff
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
* Clearance Required: Secret
* BA/BS in field necessary to assume Configuration Management Analyst III duties
* 9 years years of relevant Configuration Management Analyst III experience.
* Strong understanding of ITIL-informed best practices, particularly in the areas of configuration management, change management, and incident management.
* Experience with CMDB tools and technologies (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Atrium).
* Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
* Deep understanding of ITIL-informed best practices, strong technical skills, and meticulous attention to detail
