Responsibilities:
The Compliance Manager - Global Innovation & Product Compliance will own and drive global regulatory compliance strategy across product labeling, formulations, and market entry requirements as Sazerac expands its international footprint.
This role operates as a key global subject matter expert, supporting multi-region product launches across EMEA and APAC, and partnering closely with Legal, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to enable compliant, efficient, and scalable product innovation.
The ideal candidate brings a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented approach to navigating complex regulatory environments-balancing risk mitigation with speed-to-market and commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own global product and labeling compliance across multiple jurisdictions (EMEA, APAC), including review and approval of labels, formulas, and regulatory submissions.
* Partner cross-functionally to define compliant pathways for new product introductions, enabling faster and more efficient market entry.
* Identify and leverage regulatory and excise/tax optimization opportunities to support cost efficiencies and competitive advantage.
* Drive strategic initiatives to simplify product portfolios (SKU rationalization) while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
* Monitor and interpret evolving global regulatory frameworks (including EU and country-specific requirements) and translate insights into actionable business guidance.
* Build and standardize scalable compliance tools, templates, and processes to support consistent global execution.
* Serve as a key point of contact with regulatory authorities and external advisors, ensuring strong external relationships and alignment.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
* 3-5+ years of experience in a highly regulated industry (alcohol/beverage, CPG, food & beverage, or related sector).
* Hands-on experience with product labeling, formula compliance, and regulatory submissions across multiple international markets.
* Experience navigating cross-border regulatory requirements and stakeholder alignment.
* Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment in complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments.
* Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive decision-making.
* Ability to operate with ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced, evolving global environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certification or formal education in Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Law, or related field.
* Experience working with EU and international regulatory frameworks.
