Overview: The Compliance Analyst is responsible for helping support compliance and related activities, initiatives, and processes. The Compliance Analyst responsibilities include responding to inquiries and incidents, leading compliance program projects and conducting training. As a key part of the role, this individual will assist in reaching department goals and driving compliance projects such as developing engaging presentation materials, keeping metrics, and developing regular reporting frameworks in collaboration with the Compliance team and cross-functional partners. Work may also include developing policies and procedures, case management, preparing corrective action plans, training and education and other tasks and duties as assigned. Responsibilities: * Support the Compliance Office Managers in developing, executing, and maintaining the Institute's compliance program to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Contribute to the formulation, review, and publication of compliance policies, ensuring alignment with current laws, regulations, and organizational standards. * Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining compliance tools and systems, including data management, reporting, and tracking compliance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. * Conduct compliance-related audits, assessments, and gap analyses; support federal audit readiness, risk assessments, and the development of annual workplans. * Assist in creating and delivering compliance training programs for new hires, annual updates, and department-specific needs; respond to inquiries regarding compliance policies and procedures. * Coordinate and manage departmental projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement compliance priorities, monitor progress, and report on project outcomes. * Stay current on federal and state regulations, participate in professional development opportunities, and complete special projects or other assigned responsibilities to support the compliance program. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. * One (1) to three (3) years of full-time experience with health care compliance and/or academic medical center experience required. * Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by Health Care Compliance Association or advanced degree preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * Strong commitment to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy. * Ability to work with all levels of staff and clinicians including attorneys, department heads, information systems, security, and human resources. * Commitment and ability to: * Work in a team-based environment, * Handle patient interactions/communication with extreme care, patience and consideration, and * Create an environment with open channels of communication within the Institute with workforce members, patients and others * Possess excellent organization, attention to detail, facilitation, technical and analytical skills. * Approach problems with curiosity and open-mindedness and offer new ideas, solutions and/or options. * Demonstrate discretion, diplomacy, and good judgment. * Possess excellent communication and presentation skills. Clearly and concisely express ideas in groups and one-to-one conversations, formal and informal documents. * Adapt writing and communications styles to fit the audience. * Project management and change management skills; ensuring projects come to fruition from inception to completion. * Ability to appropriately prioritize work responsibilities and effectively manage fluctuation in workload demands. * Adaptability to a fast-paced environment. * Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) expertise and knowledge of or ability to learn electronic medical record auditing software.
