Overview:
St. Luke's Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (COSM) is hiring a Part-Time Community/Retail Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Boise, Idaho. 

This is a great opportunity for new graduates or early-career professionals looking to grow in a supportive, multidisciplinary clinic environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and passionate about patient care.

What You'll Do:

* Deliver discharge medications and counseling through our Meds-to-Beds program.

* Dispense prescriptions, perform medication reviews, and provide immunization services.

* Educate patients on proper medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies.

* Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and pharmacy technicians.

* Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and pharmacy externs.

* Maintain regulatory compliance and documentation standards.

* Travel as needed to St. Luke's pharmacy locations in Fruitland and Twin Falls.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Education: Degree from an accredited pharmacy program (PharmD or equivalent).

* Experience: 0 years required - open to recent graduates.

* Licenses/Certifications:

* Valid Idaho Pharmacist License (or eligibility to obtain).

* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from one of the following:

* American Heart Association (AHA)

* American Red Cross

* American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)

Preferred Qualifications:
* Immunization certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

* Interest or experience in Meds-to-Beds, sports medicine, or orthopedic pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

The Pharmacist is responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients and customers of the medical center.

* Review appropriateness of prescribed medication therapy. 

* Provide medication information and consultation to patients, nurses and medical staff. 

* Interpret prescriptions, compound and dispense medications. 

* Supervise and authorize the work of technicians, externs, interns and support staff. 

* Prepare and maintains all necessary records on medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, medical records and inventory. 

* Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and actions in accordance with standards of the medical center. 

* Administer medications as appropriate.

* Administer vaccinations as appropriate.

* May assist in the training of technicians, externs, interns, residents and other department staff. 

* Serve as a role model and mentor to technicians, students, residents and new practitioners. 

* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: Degree from an accredited pharmacy program
* Experience: 0 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Valid Pharmacist License in state of practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
