Community Advocate - Community & School Health Initiative

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Community Advocate to provide essential administrative and operational support for our Unihealth Cultural Trauma and Mental Health Resilience Program, a program designed to address and mitigate the effects of cultural trauma while promoting mental health resilience in affected communities. This position is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of the program and will involve a variety of administrative tasks, including supporting outreach efforts, managing communications, and maintaining program records.This position is grant-funded.

Responsibilities:

* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Trauma & Resiliency Program, including scheduling meetings, organizing events, and coordinating program logistics.
* Assist with the preparation of program reports, maintaining accurate records of program activities, and ensuring timely submission of grant-related documentation.
* Manage and track participant data, assessments, and case files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards.
* Support outreach and communication efforts by preparing promotional materials, coordinating social media updates, and managing program newsletters.
* Maintain and update program calendars, staff schedules, and community outreach events.
* Assist in budget management by tracking program expenses, processing invoices, and supporting grant compliance requirements.
* Serve as the main point of contact for program participants, community partners, and other stakeholders, providing information and facilitating communication.
* Coordinate logistics for workshops, training, and community events, including venue booking, participant registration, and material preparation.
* Collaborate with program staff to support data collection and evaluation efforts related to program impact and outcomes.
* Assist with other duties as assigned to support the success of the program.

Qualifications:

* One year experience in healthcare or community based organization.
* Experience working with community outreach or public health preferred.
* Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
* High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
* BA in Public Health or related field preferred.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace products, Zoom and Canva Presentation and public speaking skills.
* Knowledge of local community agencies and resources.
* Ability to organize resources and establish priorities.
