				Overview:

PenFed is hiring a Collections Reporting Specialist to work onsite at our San Antonio, Texas service center.  The Collection Analyst Reporting is accountable for the design and delivery of meaningful reporting of data and analytics supporting collections strategic initiatives.  The Collection Analyst Reporting will design and build technical reporting solutions that support and enhance collection unit decision-making, and ensure data is stored, collected, and disseminated throughout the collection unit and PenFed.

* Work with collection leadership and others in consumer banking to create new reports that are impactful to the collection strategy.
* Maintain historical reports on the performance and liquidation of accounts.
* Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
* Conduct regular and ad hoc analytical efforts and provide recommendations for enhancements to current reports.
* Participate in internal and external audits, and regulatory examinations, as needed.
* Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout.
* Accurately analyze and collect data for diverse types of business reports and creating an open dialogue with upper management regarding the interpretation of the data.
* Create business reports that provide insight into key data points.
* Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers.
* Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends.
* Ensure that the data accuracy of all reports including data validation and quality checks.
* Assist in developing and documenting user guides relating to reports.
* Produce ideas and suggestions for new reports and assist in the development of reporting specs.

Qualifications:

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

* Associate's degree in related field required.
* Minimum of one (1) year experience in analyzing data and interpreting data to draw logical conclusions.
* Minimum of one (1) year experience in the creation of presentations with data sets for distribution to groups.
* Experience with Tableau and SQL and relational databases preferred.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers.
* Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions.
* Ability to pay close attention to small details, ensuring accuracy with results.
* Strong knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flows.
* Effective time management, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.

* Power user in Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point required.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise employees.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is not required.
