Responsibilities:
- Adheres to departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. - Performs clerical activities and facilitates operations of the Collections Office to ensure achievement of objectives. - Minimizes risk for default by collecting data from Credit bureaus, central credit, telephone companies, and gaming history in order to provide supervisor with information regarding collection history. - Maximizes ratio of collection to bad checks by receiving payments from customers with delinquent Credit through written or verbal contact in a manner that maintains good customer relations. - Updates collection information for L'Auberge Lake Charles for evaluation and disposition by supervisor. - Supplies monthly reports to supervisor. - Maintains accurate and complete Credit records; maintains and organizes filing system. - Answers phones and routes incoming calls; processes incoming and outgoing mail; types memos and letters. - Attends all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed. - Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. - Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree and/or minimum six (6) months of credit/related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English. - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). - Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. - Knowledge of Credit operations, rules, and regulations preferred. - Knowledge of inter-related department functions such as Cage, Credit, and Casino Services preferred. - Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues. - Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills. - Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
