				Overview:

LMI is seeking an AWS Platform Engineer to provide cloud security engineering support for a United States Army client helping to develop next generation command and control capabilities.

Responsibilities:

* Collaboration with AWS Proserve to support migration into AWS 2.0
* Design and implement the infrastructure that applications will run on.
* select the appropriate hardware and software components, configure the networking and storage resources and create security policies.
* Ensure all new software functions smoothly across various programs and platforms, including mobile systems.
* Automate the testing, deployment and configuration management processes
* Maintain the underlying infrastructure including hardware, software and storage resources to ensure the infrastructure's reliability, scalability and security. 
* Maintain the overall health and stability of the applications that run on their organization's platform.
* Meet with managers and representatives of Army to discuss software issues and brainstorm methods of solving existing problems.
* Write original code and update existing code, ensuring that all code meets program requirements.
* Perform intensive testing of all new and existing programs to ensure they are free of errors and function as intended.
* Update and debug existing systems to ensure a smooth user experience and a uniform look across a variety of platforms.
* Keep up to date on the newest technological innovations in the field and be ready to apply relevant innovations to our software systems.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Experience planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software applications for an enterprise level system.
* Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

* Experience architecting and developing software/infrastructure for scalable, secure, and distributed systems on Hybrid or Multi-cloud environments.

* Experience using GitLab for CI/CD and automated deployments.

* Experience with writing Terraform, Ansible playbooks, Linux automation scripts, rudimentary APIs or automation scripts to interact with existing APIs, automated provisioning, Infrastructure as code and software development programming languages (Python, Java, GO).
* Strong familiarity using Linux toolsets to support and analyze network related topics and issues.

* Deep understanding of AWS

* Experience managing, administrating, configuring, deploying and maintaining environments and system integration tools, including Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, & Grafana.
* Knowledge of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics at the container level with APM or other tools, including Splunk, ELK, and Prometheus.
* Knowledge IDAM requirements and technologies, including Active Directory, SAML, OpenLDAP, hardware tokens, OAuth 2.0, or OIDC.
* DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (SEC+ or other)

Preferred:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
* Knowledge of the Army software development process and its technologies
* Previous GovTech experience
* Previous experience obtaining an ATO for a PaaS
* Experience with Agile development methodologies and working with Agile teams
* Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Target salary range: $130,000-200,000
