Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Cloud Administrator to maintain cloud computing environment. This position will be located in Columbia, MD and will be an on-site position. Responsibilities: Manages and maintains organizations cloud computing environment ensuring reliability, security and efficiency. This involves tasks like configuring and maintaining cloud infrastructure, optimizing cloud resources, and responding to incidents. An intricate part in cloud migration, resource provisioning, user and security management. Configuring and maintaining cloud environments, including virtual machines, storage, and networks.Implementing and maintaining security protocols, access controls, and data protection measures. Monitoring cloud performance, identifying and resolving issues, and optimizing resource utilization * Assisting in the migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud. * Responding to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system availability. * Knowledge of networking concepts, including virtual networks, firewalls, and network access control. * Allocating and managing cloud resources based on organizational needs and workload requirements. * Creating and managing user accounts, access permissions, and roles. Qualifications: Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience) Required Skills and Experience * Clearance Required: Secret * 6+years of knowledge/experience securing cloud systems and data, implementing controls, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks. * Skilled in cloud security, compliance, risk management, and documentation. * IAT level I or higher ***PENDING CONTRACT AWARD*** Preferred Skills and Experience: * AWS Certified Security * CompTIA Cloud+
