Overview: To provide didactic and clinical education to students of the organization's Radiologic Technology School. Coordinate clinical education and evaluate its effectiveness in meeting the goals of the program and the organization. To be an advocate for the organization and a resource for the radiology staff technologists. Responsibilities: * Assists with the recruitment and retention of students for the radiology program. * Educates the radiology students in didactic and clinical portions of the radiology program. * Develops appropriate lesson plans, visual aids, instructional handouts, and coordinates with the program director periodic review and revision of didactic and clinical course materials. * Demonstrates initiative to improve in the areas of quality, customer service, and coordinates clinical education and evaluates its effectiveness. * Maintains current knowledge of the professional discipline, educational methodologies, program policies, program procedures, and student progress toward clinical competencies. * Completes clinical rotation schedules for all levels of the students' clinical education. * Coordinates evaluations of students and staff technologists. * Communicates with clinical instructors and clinical sites to ensure expectations and objectives are being met by the students. * Assists with and attends monthly staff meetings and educational opportunities. Qualifications: Education: * Bachelor's Degree required. Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology accredited by an ARRT approved agency (i.e., JRCERT, NCA, etc.). Experience: * 2 years full-time as an ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist. 1 year as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited radiology program. Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling. License/Certification: * Maintain ARRT AND IDPH CEU requirements. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
