Overview: Join our dynamic team at UnityPoint Health as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Critical Care Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Location: Rock Island, IL As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Critical Care, you'll be the vital link in our Critical Care team! You'll provide top-notch pharmaceutical care, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the best possible treatment. Responsibilities: * Participate in daily patient care activities. * Discuss medication order clarifications with the prescriber. * Document any changes in patient records and inform others of medication order changes. * Provide in-services for the critical care nursing and medical staff. * Initiate research investigations aimed at defining the role of critical care pharmacists or optimizing the care of patients in the critical care department. Qualifications: Education: * Graduate of an approved College of Pharmacy and possesses a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy is required Experience: * ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Acute Care Pharmacy Practice or two years of experience in a complex health-system pharmacy environment is required. * Experience in emergency medicine or critical care is required. License(s)/Certification(s): * Registered Pharmacist in the state of IA and IL is required within 180 days of hire. * Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
