Overview:
Clinical Pharmacist Operations Lead
* Job Summary:
* The Operations Lead pharmacist will perform all duties as outlined in the Pharmacist job description. In addition, the Lead Pharmacist will provide leadership to assigned Pharmacy staff by proactively assisting in high level clinical tasks, operations, training and education, and act as a liaison between staff and the leadership team
* Schedule - 1st shift, every 3rd weekend (1st shift - 0615-1445 or 0700-1530)
* Responsibilities
* A Pharmacist is responsible for performance and/or supervision of various aspects of the medication use system including but not limited to: therapeutic recommendations, advocate for patient safety, preparation, distribution, monitoring, oversight of administration, and billing. This practitioner will be primarily based on the Operations Lead Team and but will also rotate through other clinical pharmacy teams of their interest.
* Leads and coordinates work activities for central pharmacy and provides feedback to team regarding performance under the direction of the leadership team.
* Trains and mentors staff and residents and precepts students.
* Triages issues to leadership and follows-up.
* Participates in operational tasks such as workflow oversight, process decision making, project implementation, and drug shortage management.
* Ensures and maintains quality control in regards to patient care and medication and equipment usage.
* Provides support for leadership team and demonstrates leadership for assigned practice area.
* Qualifications:
* PharmD
* Board Certification required within 2 years of hire
* Experience:
* Residency training PGY1 or 2 years acute care experience
* Previous leadership experience preferred

Qualifications:
* Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification, required. PhD, preferred. Doctorate of Pharmacy, preferred.
* Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy, required.
* Licensure/Certification:
* Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.
* Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role; excludes PRN team members who may not be eligible to take certification exam, required.
* Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
