Overview: Clinic RN Westdale Pediatrics FT, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, half day each week ** $5,000 Sign-On Bonus ** Responsibilities: * Assist in the delivery of primary health care services and patient care management. * Demonstrates competence in the skills necessary to carry out assigned duties. * Administer medications by all routes. * Apply Nursing Process (Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Intervention and Evaluation - within licensure guidelines) * Act as a liaison with patients, family and providers consistently demonstrating smooth and efficient telephone communication when covering provider call and scheduling patient appointments. * Obtain complete history regarding health problems according to protocols. * Document accurate information regarding health concerns and/or condition from patient or family member. * Telephone Triage by providing and documenting advice for home care of illness/condition; conducting follow-up phone calls regarding patient's health and progress as necessary. * Ability to assess urgency of condition for immediate attention regarding illness related calls and assign priority. * Provide patient education regarding health maintenance and medical illnesses following accepted Teach-back method per protocols and guidelines. * Provide appropriate and timely documentation in the patient's electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes. Qualifications: * Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurses. * Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Registered Nurse. * Mandatory Reporter certification * CPR certification. * Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
